"New Face of Family" Project
Thanks to Arlan of Your Daily Lesbian Moment for this news!

A photographer named Katie Hawkins has started a wonderful art/political project to give faces to the thousands of GLBT families, taking traditional family portraits and displaying them along with the families' stories. Using art installations, a book format, and a documentary, Katie is working to put faces in the minds of people who are against same-sex marriage and legal rights.

I love this idea, and I know it will have an impact! It's easier to deny things to people you don't know, can't picture. I've found this to be true in my own personal experience.
Rinat Greenberg's statement in the project contained a great line: "I dare you to look at my gorgeous family and tell me I'm single." Yes!!!!
Also, I spent a few minutes looking at Rinat's wife, and she looked SO familiar to me... Just like an actress that I remember watching...
